Our Story

Mike Dawson started out as an apprentice chippy over 20 years ago. Learning the tools of the trade, perfecting the art of carpentry, he then moved into Project Management and leading teams of PMs. Mike is well known in the industry as a reliable construction professional.

Some of Mike's previous projects include:

  • Commercial carpentry

  • New residential $400k - $15mil builds

  • Renovations $5000 - $1mil

Mike and Anna started Dawson Projects seeing a clear need in the market for a construction partner who can support their clients directly, with professionalism, clear guidance and expertise.

We've combined Mike's vast building, client services and project management experience with Anna's general management, system design and sales experience.

Being a family-owned NZ business, we work very closely with our clients throughout their building journey.  Think of us as your personal Project Manager.

We're agile, which makes us proactive, adaptable and most importantly, super easy to deal with.

"Our goal is to deliver to our clients an exceptional experience with an outstanding result.

On budget, on time, every time."
